“ Let me start by saying that diner food is my favorite. I decided to try Tangies given its status as a mom and pop diner. I ordered the French Toast Special and a side of scones. All the flavors were perfect--the sausage was cooked perfectly, the eggs were very flavorful, and as others have mentioned, the blackberry syrup is delicious! The French toast was a little soft to my taste, but again, the taste was there. Scones were hot and fresh with a little crispness. Best I've found in the area. I will definitely be back, if only for those. :) Notes for first timers: - Seat yourself when you walk in. No need to wait for anyone to assist you. (I got confused and went to the counter first) - Pay at the counter when you are done eating. You will not get a check at your table. - I was the only person under 40 in the entire establishment for the half hour I was there - Other reviews I've read say it's a little hostile to newbies but I did not experience that. ”
